10 month old feeding at night?

Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone can help me. I read that most babies stop night feeding 6/8months. Well my 10 month old still wakes up for the bottle at night... sometimes once but sometimes 2 or 3 times. Can anyone help me with how i can reduce these times?? I feel like I’m doing something wrong 😭

My daughter still wakes at night to nurse. My pediatrician said not to worry and some babies need to feed at night until a year.

My baby was feeding twice a night. Now that I'm pregnant again my mil has gone away so we gave her formula for the first time. SHE SLEPT 9 HOURS STRAIGHT last night. I was so surprised and relieved. Guess I will see if she does it again tonight.

My 10 month old has separation anxiety but it’s getting better. When I spoke to my pediatrician about nighttime he looked at me like I was crazy and laughed at me (he’s VERY personable) when I told him I go in and feed her when she wakes up. She’s 21 pounds and he said, “are you kidding me? Look at this girl. She is NOT suffering and does NOT need an extra feeding at night. Let her self soothe” 😂but let me tell you, since I started following his advice- MY LIFE HAS CHANGED 🙌🏼

You could try a dream feed around 10/11pm which may make baby go through til the morning x

Don’t worry mama! You’re doing nothing wrong! If feeding baby at night works for you, then it’s totally fine. If you want to wean baby, then there are steps you can take, like having someone else soothe baby at night when he wakes up, or only offering a bottle after a certain time and pushing that time back little by little. I still nurse when baby wants at night and probably will until 12 or 18 months or so, then I’ll cut her off from night feedings. I just kinda let my baby dictate it for now. It’s tiring, but it’s not long in the big scheme of things.

You’re not doing anything wrong, I followed taking cara babies tips to get him off the night feeds, he hasn’t had an over night feed since he was 6 weeks old. Most of the time by the this age it’s more for comfort and they should be getting their calories during the day, but I don’t think you’re wrong for feeding at night. Try other things other than offering a bottle
