Would you do pgd even tho both yours and husband genetic screaming came back GOOD ???

Im on a lost I’m not sure what to do, I had my genetic screening everything came back normal so I was really happy, my husband screening was also good, (not mutations that we know of) now doctors are asking us if we want to do pgd the insurance does not cover This part cause I’m younger than 35 years old, the cost is 3500 plus 150 per egg.
We don’t know what to do since both of us was good with the genetic screaming but what I like about the pgd is that it also tells you if the chromosomes are good !!! I’m just so angry just because I’m younger than 35 it’s not cover 
I would like to heard your thoughts TIA

We did pgs with no known genetic problems and I’m only 28. We’ve had two failed transfers with those embryos now. So it definitely may not help you avoid failures.

Honestly, I would go for PG testing. I came back clear form the genetic screening but still opted for PG testing. I would recommend to give you peace of mind

I am not doing it even though insurance covers it because it’s not 100% accurate and sometimes says embryos are bad when they are okay, and I’m a poor responder who only can make a few embryos. HOWEVER, if I were someone who made like 10+ embryos, I would totally do it to screen for the most likely to be healthy embryos to choose for transfer. So there’s no perfect answer. You can have no genetic issues and still have chromosomal abnormalities in an embryo-happens all the time, which is why they invented pgs.

Both our screenings are normal, yet my 1st round failed. All 8 embryos either didn't stick or miscarried. We are definitely doing PGS the 2nd time.

In Germany so testing wasn’t even an option for us since both of our genetic screenings were normal.. I do trust the drs though, they believe a lot of embryos tested so early can actually “fix” themselves so good embryos are often tossed out 🤷🏻‍♀️ BUT if it gives you peace of mind and you can afford it then I would go for it.

I guess it depends on your situation.  I had multiple miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy, nothing could explain it, so they hypothesized that there were still mutations in our embryos causing the issue.  We did PGS, we had pretty normal numbers of good embryos, but it worked. And while nothing is guaranteed, it gave me a little more comfort in what is always an anxiety filled first trimester because of our previous losses.
