What size does 7 year old girls wear?

I am buying a whole new wardrobe for my husband's daughter. She just got out of size 6t. What size comes after that? I asked her mom but she usually don't reply to me

It just depends on the kid, if she’s average sized then probably size 7, but for example my daughter who just turned 3 currently wears mostly 4T & 5T clothing because she’s in the 84th percentile for height & 88th for weight, Can you take her shopping & have her try stuff on?

Every child is different. Size 6x would be next size up. My oldest is 7.5 and wears a size 8 in shirts and size 7 in pants. It’s also depends on the brand. Not all brands fit the same way. I think it’s best to buy a size up. If it’s too big they’ll grow into it fairly quickly.
