Not Crawling..?

Question

My sweet girl will be 8 months on Friday, and shows no interest in crawling, pulling herself up, or really being on her tummy in general. When on her tummy, she can push herself up and kind of scoots backwards, sits unassisted, puts weight on her legs when being held up..but zero interest in crawling. Anyone else with an immobile baby? Should I be concerned?

8 months is still pretty young, I wouldn't worry about that yet.

My son was like that, he only wanted to roll around everywhere until he got to around 8-9 months and then started trying to get up on his knees and after 3 or 4 days of trying to get himself coordinated he was crawling pretty good. He started walking 3 days before his first birthday. Every kid is different tho, just keep encouraging them and they will get there

My son showed zero interest in crawling or pulling to stand until 11 months. He was just happy as a clam to sit in one spot and play with toys. Right before his first birthday he just took off! He’s crawling everywhere and standing on everything 😅 your baby will get mobile when she’s ready. Enjoy the sweet stationary lil babe while you can!

My son JUST turned 8 months and only over the last few days he’s got the hang of army crawling. Before that he’d push with his feet but never moved and just rolled around instead! I’ve also noticed in the last day or so that he’s getting up onto his hands and knees and starting to rock. This really came out of nowhere and I didn’t think he’d crawl at all and just go straight onto walking! 
I personally wouldn’t worry about it because some babies never do crawl. Or, like my little guy, your LO might not show any interest one day and be on the go the next! I think the average age for babies to crawl is between 8 and 10 months but it’s normal for them to do it as early as 6 months and as late as 12. There’s still plenty of time for you baby to get moving before you need to worry!

My boy is 8 months and not close to crawling either.  Babies progress differently, it’s most likely not a concern
