when did you wean baby onto toddler food?

my son is 4 weeks old and he is still hungry after drinking 4 oz and then i give him another oz so 5 all together and then after an hour he will want more ! i don’t mind feeding him but i just don’t want him to feel hungry all the time . i’m not going to wean him now but i’m wondering ? how many months

There is a really low chance baby is actually still hungry after that amount. Make sure you’re pace feeding.

Solids do not get introduced until six months but up until 12 months of age, breastmilk or formula should be the main source of nutrition

You don’t wean. When babies start solids you introduce them slowly between 4-6 months old with pediatrician approval. Solids don’t replace milk. They should still get the same amount of formula or breastmilk. Food before 1 is for fun. And how you are describing little ones eating is very normal. Infants cluster feed. Their tiny tummy’s can only hold so much at a time.
