Genetic testing for mental illness

Probably the wrong group so this may get moved- have any of you mommas gotten genetic testing for your mental illness? Did it work out? I went to my doctor today and she decided instead of trying more medicines that won’t work or make me worse that we do this test and it’ll tell us what medicines will actually work for me. It costs $5000 before insurance and $325 after my insurance. I’m really hoping this works. She said at this point she will probably be treating me for depression and manic episodes instead of bi polar. Idk what I am anymore 😅
