In-home ABA during COVID 19 quarantine
Two of my children have autism. One very mild and my oldest had moderate to severe. Since school has been cancelled until April 13 my kids ABA company wants to raise ABA hours from two hours a day to 8 hours a day with 4 different therapists coming in and out of my house all day Monday to Friday. From Monday to Friday there will be a total of 8 different therapists coming back and forth to my house. These therapists will also be visiting other clients homes and working with them. Being an anxious person by nature I want to cancel ABA for fear of bringing corona virus into my house since it’s known to be asymptotic for two weeks. The coordinator says she’s having any BC stay home if they feel at all unwell but I feel it’s a little too much to have so many people in my home during such an unsure time.
What would you do? Should I go ahead with this intense schedule or should I decline? My husband thinks I should cancel, as he says better safe then sorry. My kids will be in contact with elderly grandparents at some point.
