Social distancing — includes community-wide?

In your opinion, to effectively practice social distancing, should neighbors not come over to each other’s house? I ask because my extremely oblivious intrusive neighbor and her kids keep coming over and I’ve told her that my family is following social distancing and self-quarantining but she says that doesn’t apply to neighbors and within the communities. I’m just trying to get this crazy lady from coming into my house!!!

Advice from my government is not to have any unnecessary contact with people, so no neighbors shouldn’t be visiting. Doesn’t matter if they live next door, they don’t live in your house and they shouldn’t be there!

Of course it includes neighbors! Tell her you aren't having company over for the foreseeable future and close the door in her face.

Did you post something similar to this not too long ago about your neighbor? She would come over with her kids unannounced and you were running out excuses to not see her and you had just moved there?
If so—my goodness this woman sounds like she’s becoming really annoying!

I am not seeing anyone except my MIL and FIL who live down the street. No neighbors or friends. We are not taking toddler out to the park or playdates, we live a few min away from the beach so once the rain stops I'm going to take her down to look for sand dollars and shells, we have some trails to walk too. If your neighbor wont stop coming over, just stop answering your door.

We are not doing play dates right now. I have asthma, and if you're kiddo is carrying coronacooties and gives it to my kids, that defeats the purpose of me trying to avoid getting sick and spreading it to my elderly parents. Where I live, a few neighbors put lawn chairs outside a few feet away from each other and chatted with beers lol that's about it. If someone is carrying it and going to your house, you can get it.
