Currently in my almost 2 year olds room holding his hand sitting by him getting him to sleep in his own bed.

My son will be 2 next month in the 29th, today we have decided to take the rail off of his bed and make it into a toddler bed, he was excited about it all day and kept going in and out of it. But the main reason we did this is so maybe he could be better with sleeping in here. Before when it was still on at night we would lay him in his own room, with everything he needed and even a nightlight, as soon as we would lay him down and walk out he would cry but mostly mad scream until he decided to lay dowm which would be 10 mintues of screaming.

But tonight he laid down in his bed, with everything he needed and wanted me to hold his hand and even laid in his bed for about 15 mintues before i held his hand. I am completely okay with holding his hand tonight and helping him adjust to his new bed, but do you think it'll get how it was? Do you think I should try something else so he doesnt get used to me doimg this everynight?? What should I do mammas!!

Im okay with helping him adjust like i said, but i domt want him to get used to me being in his room every night holding his hand. And i dont want him to cry because we would have to put the rail back up.

I'm new to all of this so ANY advice or opinions would be very appreciated.
