Anyone from Florida ? 🌴

So I been looking into moving to Florida(Miami).
People that live there how much are the rents? Min. Wage? The weather ? I been doing my research but I want someone from there to actually tell me. I’m living in Illinois(Chicago) btw.

If you want something cheap but yet nice, Arizona is that. It’s really hot there but the people there are really nice, and it’s just so affordable. I live in Southern California tbh I LOVE it here but there’s a lot of downfalls, it’s expensive to live out here & there’s so much traffic on a daily basis 🤦🏻‍♀️ but I don’t ever see myself leaving California. And the weather is perfect

To add in my other comment, Texas is an amazing place to look. Cheap cost of living, lots of job opportunity, amazing people, and of course amazing food!! The hospitality there is amazing! Of course I recommend staying away from Austin as all the Californians are moving there (former Californian here! Grew up in Orange County!) and it’s getting crazy in Austin but if you move about 45 minutes outside of Austin, it’s not too bad. I’m currently in Maryland for personal reasons but I definitely and planning on moving back to Texas when I am able to. Texas will always be home to me ❤️

As a former Floridian( lived there for 7 years) don’t do it. Florida was the worst placed i ever lived in. Sure, rent is low but you also have to deal with no jobs or jobs never taking you seriously, terrible people living there. The weather is fine. It gets super humid all the time and unless you like hurricanes or hurricane like weather every year 🤷🏽‍♀️ if you’re moving to around Miami Beach or staying close by, expect to pay around $1400+ just for the location in an apartment. I reckoned doing lots of research on Florida before deciding to move there. It was a horrible experience for me and I never want to go back. But some people love it there. It also could’ve been I grew up in a bad neighborhood there. I met a lot of racist people there(not just where I grew up) that didn’t like Mexicans. So if you are white, African American, Puerto Rican, or Cuban. You’ll be fine. But then again, Miami is a very touristy city so it might be ok. Again, this is all from personal experience so I suggest you do TONS of research yourself
