8 month old and not drinking water?

Hello my little one is formula fed and he hates drinking water. He started having purées twice a day and the PD said to drink after each meal but he hates it like will drink 10ml and that’s it 🤷🏻‍♀️ what do I do?

Are you sure it’s the water he doesn’t like and not the sippy cup. I’d personally try offering it to them in a different style cup (open top, 360 cup, beaker etc.) and see if that helps. 
My son is 8 months and takes sips of water throughout his meal - not just at the end. You could try offering it during the meal too as they might take more if it’s not in one go.

If they are still getting formula as well, then they dont need much water at all. If anything it's more just to rinse food off of their teeth or gums so they dont get a cavity or infection. Most babies who still get milk or formula dont have any issue with dehydration! Offer them water, but dont be discouraged if they dont drink a lot
