Anyone else barely (or not!) able to keep up with how much baby wants to eat?!

How can I pump more? We keep formula on hand because baby sometimes wants to eat 5 ounces, but I usually just produce 4 (if I pump every 3 hours). I need to produce about 8 more ounces a day to make enough for what he wants to eat. And he eats this much everyday, it's not a new behavior.

Try to hand express and power up for a few days to see if it helps increase your supply. Also I went through this a few times in the beginning and I had to pump during the night (this way I always had extra to provide when my oz wasn’t meeting her needs). Have you tried either??

I wasn’t able to with exclusively pumping. I was having to supplement with formula and my supply was not increasing even with increased pumping sessions, so I stopped pumping and started exclusively breastfeeding. The first week was hard but I’ve had more than enough ever since and I’m glad I switched to just breastfeeding. It made things so much easier for us.
