Did you guys put your babies foward facing (how many months) and where did you seat them in the vehicle? (Middle le side doors)

Read face as long as possible. YouTube internal decapitation and you’ll rear face as long as possible, but in NY it’s 2 years minimum but we went until 3 with my first and I will max out our car seat with my baby before facing him forward. I’d never forgive myself if I hurt my child just because I was impatient to turn them around

Not anytime soon. My 3.5 year old is still rear-facing. The longer they rear-face the safer they are.

Go off of your car seats weight and height requirements specifically, and then take age into consideration AFTER. Rear face as long as possible. 
Don’t just go off of age. Everyone says “2 years” and honestly this is my BIGGEST peeve when it comes to car seat safety. I know 2 year olds that are the size of my 10 month old (20lbs 5oz, 28 in) and that is NOT SAFE FOR FORWARD FACING. Additionally, some 18 month olds who meet the max requirements for their carseat and need to be turned around for them to be properly secured and safe.

My girl will not be foward facing until shes about 2ish; my seat goes up to 40lbs rear facing.. and i plain to keep her that way as close to that weight as i can... its the safest way for your kiddo

My 3 year old is still rear facing and won't be turned anytime soon.  So my May baby has a longgggg way to go before we consider turning her.  You should rearface until the limits of your seat, bare minimum of 2 years old

Yep, totally agree with the other mamas. My 2.5 year old is still rear facing. She is quite comfortable in the Graco Extend-2-Fit and has never thought twice about facing backwards- it’s all she knows and she’s perfectly fine with it.
