Where in California should we go?

My husband and I want to go to California in a couple of months. Where in California should we go? Any hotel recommendations? We’ve never been there.

I used to live in San Diego so I really like it there. It also really depends what you like to do.

tahoe. the lake is lovely for boating and related water sports! there's also a pretty good restaurant there my friends and i love to go to. it's called gar woods grill and it's on the northern part of the lake. the food is always great and it's a nice place to just relax and talk. also if you have a sweet tooth, the area has lots of famous candy shops. and in downtown tahoe there's a place that has amazing breakfast burritos. their chorizo is made in carson city and so good. idk any hotels though since most people here just have family cabins.

I would avoid LA. I lived there most of my life, and there isn’t much but traffic. Stick with northern ca or somewhere near a beach like San Diego, Santa Barbara, etc

Sacramento! I live in Sac and they have so much good food and other fun things! Visit Joe’s Crab Shack (lol it’s not just crab), it’s right on the water and so occasionally you’ll see a harbor seal or two. You can visit the train museum! You can ride in a horse carriage! Its wonderful over here!
