Anyone else’s child likes sleeping like this?

Question

My 5 month old likes sleeping with blankets on her face, or has her face buried in the blanket when she’s napping around us or on us. I don’t know if it’s a comfort thing or what. We watch her like a hawk when she’s napping and hoping she grows out of it.

Try letting her sleep in a dark room with the blanket at the top of her head. Sometimes it’s a security blanket but it seems like she may be trying to avoid the light as well

Yes my baby does that. He’s 9 months now and still does it. He’s pretty obsessed with blankets in general, if he finds one anywhere anytime he’s shoving it in his face.

Yeeessssss. Two years old and she still does it! I hate it and every damn time I move the blanket or her she wakes up ❤️

My daughter does this.🙄 4 months old, I get so damn scared but I realized if I cover only her eyes she’ll fall asleep. Sometimes I give her a thin Muslin blanket, but she does it as comfort and darkness.

Mine has done this since like 2 weeks. He buries his face in my chest/shoulder. Every time I try to turn his head he fights me and goes face down again 🙄

My kids will do this. I sometimes wonder how on earth they’re breathing when the only thing you can see is a butt up in the air lol at that age, she’s capable of moving her head on her own. I believe if she were struggling too much, she would correct herself.

It's how my son sleeps as well. First it had to be my face toughing his, then a stuffed animal, now a blanket. He is starting to grow out of it a bit. He doesn't need it Everytime. But it sure does help. 
I've always assumed it's a comfort thing.
