If its positive its positive, no matter how faint the lines are. These tests are made to detect HCG at 100 (I don't know the measurement value) if its faint it's because your are close but not quite to the 100 mark. A first response test is made to detect as low as 25, hence why they can usually pop a positive up to a week before your period would start. If you were to take a first response right now it would be a strong positive.
