Is it ok to drink Nyquil ?

Hi moms, i’m 12 weeks 5 days pregnant. 
is it ok for me to drink a bit of nyquil ? 
i recently bought the Vapo Cool Dayquil And Nyquil. I want to know if it’s ok i haven’t taken some. My nose been stuffy and my throat been so dry :(

Check with your Dr. but I don’t think they recommend using NyQuil. Drinking hot water with lemon and raw honey is suppose to help with your throat and I believe you are able to use a nasal spray for your stuff nose. Sucks being sick when your pregnant. Hope you feel better.

I took it for a couple nights without thinking. Called my OB the next day and he was like no harm done, but don’t do it again. 🤷🏼‍♀️ It really helped me get over a cold tho!

I’d definitely consult your doctor. Those meds usually have alcohol in them and maybe even aspirin or ibuprofen which aren’t safe. 
My doctor told me I can have regular mucinex for congestion, robitussin DM for cough, and Tylenol PM to sleep and provide pain relief. 
Maybe half a dose would be ok but not a full dose- and only if you’re desperate.

As a nurse I can say that taking NyQuil is not okay. Robutussin is fine but NyQuil is a definite no.
