My son is 2 months old now and ebf. He's been pooping like 3-4 times a day but was on a poop strike just of last week. He started crying everytime he had to fart and his farts smelt like poop. Still peeing fine. Doctor recommended a suppository which we gave him last night and so much poop came out. Kind of tramatizing. Doctor also has me giving him bio gaia, gripe water and ovol as he's always been pretty gassy. This morning he's still screaming when he has to fart but they dont stink. I'm trying bouncing him around more to get things going. He feeds well but if he has to fart mid feed he will pull away and scream and not go back on. Doctor said if he goes another week without pooping we will have to look at other potential causes. Does anyone have any advice or gone through something similar? Doctor asked if I changed my diet but I've been consistent so not sure what's up but i know babies can go weeks without pooping it's the painful cries when he has to fart that kills me. Thanks!!
