My son will be 1 on the 25th. He has always been stubborn and definitely has his own little attitude. But lately, when he gets upset he gets UPSET. He will get mad and smack away anything you try to give him. For example, he will want a toy and then all the sudden start smacking it away and crying if you try to give it to him. Is this smacking and pushing away normal? This might sound ridiculous, I know. But this parenting thing is tough, y’all!

My son is very stubborn and has quite the temper. When I won’t let him do what he wants he throws himself on the floor, screams, cries, hits things, etc. And this is unfortunately not new. He’s been quite opinionated for a while. Sometimes I ignore him and sometimes I can’t. I think we’re in for quite the haul with this one and his temper.

Omg yes. After she eats she's ALWAYS a mess. So I always have to wipe her hands and face before she can go play. She hates it, no matter what I do or give her in the meantime, she throws it or smacks it away. Sometimes she'll do it after I sit her down too. I usually ignore her and let her get it out of her system.

I “discipline” our saughter in a age appropriate way. So when she hits/pulls/bite I pull her away or remove myself/object. It’s just for a few seconds but then she seems to not do it. It’s hard, you never really know

Literally just got done going through this. He loves sitting in his rocking chair in his room. I let him sit in it after his bath. Today, he threw the biggest tantrum (which he does but never this wild) when I took him off to change him and put his diaper on. If the neighbors think I am crazy, I don’t blame them. He would not stop. Full blown crying, kicking and screaming, boogers dripping, red face, all because he couldn’t sit in the chair. I don’t even know how to ignore it cause it’s overwhelming. I am hoping it’s a phase. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I also question, when do you start disciplining this behavior? Right now, I feel like they’re too little to really understand anything besides no.
