My son was exposed in utero to tobacco, heroin, cocaine, meth and alcohol throughout his entire gestation. He seems to be a relatively healthy boy but as he gets older (he’s 2) I’m starting to think that his lungs may not have developed properly (which is why I brought up his past).

The other day, we went for a walk in the park- nothing to strenuous and shortly after we started, he was gasping for air as if he had just ran a marathon.

Every Time he gets sick, even if it’s just a mild cold he gets this nasty cough that can last for weeks. Today he has a little bit of a cold, nothing too bad, and yet he’s been coughing and wheezing something awful aaaaall day.

With the coronavirus thing, I haven’t been able to make an appointment with his pediatrician but it’s on my list of things to do on Monday.

I guess I’m making this post with hopes of finding out whether these symptoms correlate with others who have asthma?
