Photoshoots - should they still go ahead?

Question

Baby is due any day now, is it right to still go ahead with the newborn photoshoot we’ve paid for? What are everyone else’s plans? Are you going to be cancelling your maternity/newborn/family photoshoot because of the Covid-19 pandemic?

I’m a photographer, so I’ll be doing my own. I would cancel due to social distancing guidelines. The photographer can’t keep 6ft away for a newborn photo shoot.

Had my maternity pictures taken yesterday. It was just one lady and she kept her distance, I'm not 100% concerned about this covid-19.

The hospital where I am to have my baby has cut visitation and will only allow 1 support person for the whole time I am in the hospital. The photographer or anyone who does not have an appointment will not be allowed in the hospital at all.  I would call your labor and delivery of your hospital to see what their rules are.

I postponed mine. My photographer is also pregnant and my state is on lockdown so we're not taking any chances.

I was thinking this only yesterday. We have done exactly the same. We are in the uk and yesterday they have put us into part lockdown closing clubs, bars, restaurants etc and schools are now closed also... but I guess if you are all well and your photographer has also been sticking to the social distancing guidelines then there is no reason it shouldn’t go ahead?

The photographer I've used in the past has cancelled all upcoming photoshoots...but if you're comfortable with it and your photographer is, I say go for it

I was going to ask the same thing but not due for 5 weeks! I guess it’s a wait and see where we are in the coming weeks 🤷🏻‍♀️
