At least a year,  I think they recommend trying to get to two years. But after one year I’ll go as long as he wants and needs it. He might be my only baby, so I’m not going to rush it. But I think 2.5/3 years might be where I draw the line (when he goes to nursery).

So with this one unfortunately I was unable to breastfeed due to health problems. With my first though I wanted to breastfeed through 1yr but one day my supply literally dried up in a matter of hours. It was fine and doing great/normal and in the middle of the day I just stopped producing. It was the weirdest thing. I pumped for days after to see if it was just being sporadic, but it never returned.

My original goal was 6 months and he’ll be that on April 9th so my new goal is 9-10 months and then still breastfeeding but supplementing with formula as needed. I’m a working mom and don’t produce a lot while pumping so it’s so stressful keeping my stash up😔

Just a year. I breastfed my daughter for 16 months and while I loved breastfeeding her, I got so touched out and just couldn’t deal anymore. She was ready to wean when we did. This time around, my husband is retiring from his current career and will get another job so i can stay home and breastfeed our baby until he turns a year, then we will wean and I will get a job - then switch lol he’ll stay home with the baby.
