So how would you feel about this?

Me and my partner of 3 years was having a disagreement on the phone earlier, so i left him to cool down and called him back later everything was fine, but during the conversation on the phone he had said a few things I didn’t like, anyway he came round earlier to drop some things off for our son, i told him sometimes he makes me feel controlled and he apologised and said it’s not his intention to make me feel like that, oki I accept appreciate that BUT then he said while hugging me “ you know it’s only because i love you right? “

So yeh how do i even take that, the fact im writing this i know it’s weird but other opinions please?🙈
