Just want some input

So my partner is lazy like very lazy not getting into his personal life because people can get so judgmental.

But anyway I was just wondering if any of your partners are the same way like he used to help hang clothes up while he has a smoke and take rubbish out etc, now though nothing. Sometimes when I stress about the laundry or how much dishes I've got to wash every hour cuz of kids but anyway, could this be from his previous marriage living in a dirty house and thinking ours is "clean" cuz I have seen this before like with my brothers growing up with my mum. And he mentions all the time about how he loves having clean clothes and hot food for lunch breaks, I'm starting to think that this is the reason.
