Are you nervous about visitor restrictions on delivery day?

Are you nervous about visitor restrictions ?
Hospitals are getting more and more strict. Mine just announced I can have one person during delivery but not while in postpartum. This is double upsetting as I wanted my mother and husband in the delivery room. Curious how everyone else is handling this?

This is obvi not the majority opinion. But im a very independent person and like privacy so its nice for me to not have to tell people no they cant come. It just gets to be me and baby to enjoy the first time together. My husband is staying with our 1 year old and thats the hardest part. Being away from my first baby. We haven’t spent one night apart yet... so that will be tough

Yes I’m very nervous about this whole process this is my 3rd pregnancy and I just never imagined it being this way I have about 8 weeks left before dd so I’m praying things get better by then I need my husband and family with me thru the whole labor and delivery process

I have 2 weeks until my Due Date. My doctor told me no visitors only Husband in delivery room. This is my first and This isn’t how we imagined it but I understand why !!

Yes and no .. it sucks, it heartbreaking, and it’s not what any of us planned on .. but it’s in the best interest of everyone’s health

Our hospital didnt allowed husband to be in labor room. So only you and your doctor and nurses. Not even allowed in the ward after delivered.

Our whole plan was to have only myself and my husband. So that hasn’t changed so far for us. However now since no visitors/children allowed (and with good reason) I know I will have to spend at least 1 night by myself with our newborn before I can go home. I’m ok with that as long as I can still have my husband there for delivery. My only concern is my mother who we are planning to have watch our son, she still works at a clinic as a medical assistant in internal medicine. So if she gets exposed at work, I will have to labor alone since we don’t have anyone else to watch our son. 🤷‍♀️ I don’t want to labor alone, but I will if I have to.

I’m nervous to be alone in the hospital with my newborn. I’d much rather rely on my husband to help with diaper changes and getting me to the bathroom than a stranger. Also I know my husband has been quarantined and the nurses have not. I’m having a c section so I will need a lot of assistance after baby is born. Looking forward to being discharged ASAP.

Home birth here but if I were hospital I would be glad there are restrictions just because I’m such a private person 😂 I had my husband and my midwife at my first birth and my sister will be at this birth only because my 2.5 year old needs some support and she’s going to hang with her during my labor!

The only reason that I’m nervous is the fact that my husband told me that he passes out at the sight and smell of blood.  I wanted a back up person just in case that happened so that I would have someone but not sure that is going to happen unless this all dies down before May

I’m definitely scared! This is our first baby, right now we are allowed a support person which is my husband but that could change. I don’t want to deliver a baby alone. I’m starting to feel defeated and not ready for this. I’m 38 weeks hopefully he stays in til things settle down more
