Prams carseats and travel systems...

Hey

I already have a pram that I bought a while back. It is a BabyStyle Lux.

My step mother is trying to convince me to get rid of it and let her buy me a travel system as it will be "much easier" for shopping trips etc as I can just clip a car seat onto the wheels/frame rather than having to take the baby out of the car seat to lay into a pram etc.

I absolutely love my pram. I have asked if she would rather just buy a car seat as I've seen one I adore but she's still trying to convince me otherwise.

I also don't see the point in her spending hundreds on something I already have! My pram will go into a buggy, the only part I don't have is the varseat otherwise I'd have a whole travel system.

As far as I can see, BabyStyle Lux is discontinued so I'm not sure if I could find a car seat compatible with the pram base/wheels I already have?

Really feel like I can't say no here. And feel really overwhelmed, family seem to be going off on their own tangents without checking in with me and seeing what I actually need/want. Except now I don't even know what I want for the best!

Does it really make that much of a difference? Can I not just plonk the carseat in the trolley like I see hundreds of mothers do in tesco?
