Is this cloth diaper safe?

Not really. There could be slight staining beacuse ut contains zinc (based on some info I gathered from my hood ol' friend google). Doesn't affect the diaper's "perfermace" per say so all good if you don't mind skme stains. Petroleum js something you wanna avoid at all costs. Try some basic coconut oil or (my favourite☺️) calendula cream from the pharmacy😁😂. Works like a charm everytime. My twin girls have super sensitive skin and any type of cream or butt paste that we tried gave them a really bad rash & eczema. We've been really happy with coconut pil and calendula cream for now🙂

So zinc is safe (as it it will NOT cause repelling) but it may create white stains on the diaper. Those stains will not affect performance. 
I use the green tube of Butt Paste which contains zinc and there is slight staining but nothing that bothers me. 
I also just basic basic coconut oil from the grocery store and that is safe and won’t cause staining. 
Petroleum is what you want to stay away from .

Alternative: burts bees baby multi purpose ointment. Cloth safe smalls good and works great.

My understanding is that the zinc makes it not cloth diaper safe. However if you get some fleece liners to put between your baby’s bum and the cloth diaper, you can use it. That’s how I’ve always used it. It’s my favorite diaper cream for bad rashes.

Yup, because it doesn't have petroleum in it.
Petroleum is just a bitch to wash out of anything, so it would build up on the diapers and harm the waterproof-ness.

It depends on your diapers and your wash routine. If you use prefolds or flats and/or wash on hot or extra hot (I do) and use a strong detergent like Tide, then you can pretty much use anything. It washes out.
