My daughter had a virus a few weeks ago with a rough cough, the doctor was almost positive it was croup because it was a dry cough and she had other symptoms that went with it. Was on prednisone and it went away.

Saturday she started coughing again, this time it is a wet cough. She barely coughs at all during the day but the nighttime is awful. No fever, no runny nose, eating fine, a little more fussy and tired, but nothing too bad. It's now progressed to where sleep is a distant memory for us both. We've sat in the bathroom with steam 3 times already tonight. I'm exhausted and I know she is too. So glad she has her 1 year check up in a few hours and I'm so glad I decided to keep the appointment.
