Gifts for baby & mom??

Question

Hi! So I'm 21 with no kids so I don't have much of a clue with baby stuff..one of my good friends is having her first baby (baby girl) and I was wondering if anyone could help me with gifts for the baby AND momma?? For the baby I'm doing the usual wipes, diapers, etc but i also want to get something different. Any ideas? And for my friend I have no idea what a new mom would need?? Any ideas would be great, thank you!!

For baby - zip up sleepers with mittens built in (target Carries them but haven't found them anywhere else) were a great help for us. Also a boppy, haakaa, and carseat cover were great in the first few months. I also appreciated a bouncer seat that I could put our son in when I was doing house chores or didnt want to carry him. I loved having a baby carrier as well for trips to the store or even just around the house. And rattles. He loved rattles.
For mom - food so she doesnt have to cook, or gift cards for delivery or coffee. You could also offer to come hold the baby or watch the baby so she can nap, shower, or just have a little time to herself. Not sure how easy that will be to do with this coronavirus stuff but maybe she'll be okay with it.

We appreciated board books, especially ones that were not the usual go-to (no grouchy ladybug - we got four of those). We have one called “Wherever you are”’ that I absolutely love reading to our son because the sentiment is so amazing and the pictures are lovely as well. 
People who brought us food after he was born were our favorite people. We had people drop off lasagnas, soup, pot pie, fixing for tacos, and two huge bags of goldfish crackers. One of my best friends dropped off a whole “junk” meal - take and bake pizza, soda, Cheetos, and mint chip ice cream (my favorite). 
We’re pregnant with our second now, and pretty sure we’ll be gifted nothing and no one will drop off food. I’ll miss that!
