Warning: this is nothing but a rant post. I am getting so angry with those not taking this seriously. The pure stupidity of thousands of people is alarming. I have people on my personal social media accounts saying that they are going to have parties with 49 people because we currently can’t gather in crowds of more than 50. 🙄 I have people saying that the government is taking this too far and that the economy will never recover, yet these people somehow fail to realize that the longer they wait to take these measures the longer the economy will suffer. I’m sick of people risking others lives because they think that nothing can happen to them. What about the elderly, the immunocrompromised, those who have underlying health problems like cancer? Almost everyone knows at least someone in one of these categories and going out and not taking social distancing seriously is putting these people in all of our lives at risk. It’s making me so angry that people are more worried about their parties, their baby showers, their weddings, their social lives than keeping people alive. I can’t wait until the federal government finally starts enforcing this with big fines and consequences for those not taking this seriously. They are currently relying on citizens to do the right thing, I hope they wake up sooner rather than later and realize a significant amount of the population is too stupid and inconsiderate to ever do anything out of the goodness of their heart. A huge number of people are never going to do anything unless they are going to be fined or go to jail if they don’t and I can’t wait for that day.
