Phone 6 week PP visit?

Question

Because of COVID-19 my dr wants to do my 6 week PP visit over the phone. I’m curious what usually happens at this visit because I thought it was going to be pretty in depth and she would also do a pelvic exam? I also wanted to get birth control. I guess I’m just disappointed because I don’t understand how everything can get covered over the phone or how she can release me from pelvic rest without checking how things are going down there?

I had mine over the phone as well with a nurse. She asked about bleeding and pain, she asked how I was feeling emotionally and if I had support at home and then she asked about birth control. The dr called in the prescription for birth control that afternoon. 
For my last pregnancy I had a physical exam to make sure the stitches site was all set. They also had me fill out a questionnaire to rule out postpartum and we talked about birth control options. 
I wasn’t concerned about my stickers healing (I had already given in and had sex) so I wasn’t too worried but if you are worried, tell them you’d like to come in or wait to have sex until you can get an appt.

My 6 week is this week via phone, and my 8 week IUD insertion was cancelled. Going to get a script for the pill in the meantime 🤷🏻‍♀️

I had mine 2 weeks ago and actually went in but she didn’t check me , just asked me questions how I’m doing , bleeding etc. 
I have an appointment in two weeks and that’s when I will get my IUD . And then she said I would wait an other month and have a pelvic exam

Oh Lord..mines in 2 weeks. My husbands gonna be pissed if I don’t have an actual visit bc I was suppose to get an IUD that visit.

I didn’t get any type of exam, they just asked questions and asked what kind of birth control I wanted to be on.

I just had my visit last week over the phone as well. I thought the exact same about the pelvic exam and he just asked how’s everything going. If I had any pain or fever, how I’m feeling. That’s pretty much it, if I had any questions for him. It really sucks this is happening. 😔
