I have to take my newborn daughter to get her pku test and now they have inform us we can’t go in with her car seat how is this helping with covid-19 how is her not being in her car seat helping the situation, this is stressing me out knowing I have to take her in without the protection of the car seat, we are suppose to protect babies the most in my opinion

The car seat isn’t going to protect her anymore then being in your arms.

They are preventing the spread as much as possible. An infant car seat has been placed on multiple surfaces. I never owned an infant car seat. You can wear baby or just carry. You are the protection. Sorry you are stressed.

I get that it's easier to manage the baby with the carseat and I agree there's no more or less risk having it. That being said, she's not specially protected in the car seat as opposed to your arms, a ring sling, wrap, or baby carrier.
