Today's my due date. Being induced, any advice? FTM

First time mom. Due today!  Being induced tomorrow evening. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

My advice would’ve been to decline induction unless medically necessary or close to 42 weeks. But my next best advice is to try and relax and keep an open mind to what interventions may occur.

Ask for the epidural right away and take mineral spring water with you to freshen your face during labor. I had by almost 3y old daughter in an induced labor. I am today 31w pregnant with my son. Good luck and all the happiness for your family.

Trust your gut! That’s my #1 tip. I trusted my gut in delivery and it ended up saving my son’s life. He spent 10 days in the NICU because I stood up for him and he ended up getting the care he really needed. I felt stupid being a new mom and really wondered if I was doing the right thing but once he was admitted the doctor pulled me aside and said “if you hadn’t fought this hard for your baby you could’ve had a very different outcome”. So trust your gut always! 
Bring your own blanket to the hospital- I was so thankful to have mine. 
Try to be as kind and patient to your support person as you possibly can. Even when you’re hurting. Remember, they are there because they love you. 
Take as many pictures as you can. Of the bassinet. If the blood pressure cuff. Of your baby’s tiny little toes. Everything... you want to remember this and you’ll be so exhausted after baby is here, you won’t want to bother taking pictures. 
Bring some lotion. It’s nice to use after your first shower to make yourself feel human again and it’s also nice if someone can rub your back for you if you’re having a lot of back labor. 
Sounds so cliche and everyone says this but seriously... take everything in. Relax. Enjoy the process. You’re so excited, you can’t wait to meet your baby, but it is SO true what everyone says... it’s over in an instant and you will be a little sad that it is. So enjoy everything!
