Anyone else thinking about home birth given covid?

Hi all,
I’m seriously contemplating having my doula (and maybe now a midwife) come to my house for a home birth given the current covid situation...
Our hospital only permits one guest in delivery, that one guest cannot rotate with someone else (i.e my doula and husband) AND no visitors at all in the waiting rooms. 
Unfortunately I’m thinking I’ll go unmedicated so there is no way I can’t have my doula there... doulas are video calling into hospitals to give guidance to husbands but... I mean... really? 
Regardless, has anybody else thought about this?

Unfortunately I do not have a choice due to being high risk . I have to deliver at a hospital. Really hoping that this has all calmed down by the end of June/July.

I’m already stressed enough as is. I’m stuck in the house with two kids, I’m getting super pregnant, and I’m in so much pain.

I'm fully prepared with having to give birth without a supporter (husband, mom, or sister). It is going to be really hard but I've already done this once and was a heavy bleeder last time. Working in the medical field I know how quickly things can go wrong. More power to you if you choose to do it at home.

I don’t have a problem with home birth, if you’re low risk it’s just as safe, but a doula is not a midwife, you need to find a midwife if you go this route.

I 100% genuinely have especially if our hospital becomes like NY ones with a “no support partner AT ALL”. I’m trying not to worry too much but a friend of mine due in June said she mentioned all this to her OB and her OB says any rules in place will most likely stay until August or later because they’re worried about another outbreak if they break too soon. I feel like July is a lot closer in terms of a world wide pandemic outbreak than people realize. So it’s absolutely on my mind

At this point I would wait until may to decide because for all we know it could pass over by then or even just be better than now. Based on previous viruses warm weather is expected to slow down the spread. I plan on having my birth at a birth center with my midwife unless she says absolutely not. 🤷‍♀️

Hey lady! I’m opting to have a home birth! I’m also due the first week of July. My first was born at a hospital, unmedicated with midwives! So this time I have the same midwives and having baby at home! It’s a great great option if you’re low risk. Me and all my brothers were born safely and calmly at home. The only negative in my mind is no pain meds. If you’re ready for a natural birth YOU GOT THIS XO

At home births really worry me. I’m a first time mom but I can’t imagine having the baby at home and something going wrong. Things can happen so fast and the thought of that just scares me. Being in the hospital just seems so much safer. I don’t look down on anyone who chooses an at home birth of course but I just couldn’t do it. Virus or not.

My doctor recommended I just come to the hospital due to possible risks, and it'll be as safe as can be when I get ready to have my daughter in July as they are already taking precautions for pregnant mothers now. My hospital is like a religious hospital so I know they'll do whatever they can to make sure the women's and children's hospital is especially safe. Hopefully this will all be under control by then. I'm already planning a homebirth and it's so very comforting to know that I wont have to fight to have my team present the whole time. I have lots of family in the medical field (I live in washington state and cases are really high here). My sister is a NICU nurse and they're cross training her and all the L&D team to work in other departments because of how "all hands on deck" it is right now. Just knowing what the staff is going through right now makes me so relieved knowing my team is taking action by preparing for hospital transfer of low risk moms INTO home birth for thr first time in US history. Midwives of my state are preparing to take on new clients and late transfers and do everything they can to make your birth as safe and comfortable as possible.
