Inducing ?!

Question

Anyone ask there doctor if they can be induced at or around 39 weeks? 
I’m considering asking her if it’s a possibility to do so.. I know baby is to term than & im worried about this virus getting worse every single day.. with more limitations on hospital policy’s I really don’t wanna have to have this baby without her father getting to be there too and it scares me. Anyone ask there doctors and have them do it ?

I’m currently 38+1 weeks and saw a dr I had never seen before today (my dr office rotates) and I asked her about it. We live in Connecticut right on the border of New York so things are rapidly getting worse unfortunately. I asked her just for the safety of my baby and me (hes measuring perfect) and so my husband would still possibly be able to stay for the birth. 
I asked if the doctors there did it and she said “yes we do but that’s not until next week so let’s just wait and see” and literally left the room.
The reason I was so upset she put it that way was the way she was talking about the hospital situation and how it won’t get any better any time soon. Like you tell me all of that negative stuff but won’t listen to my concerns when I ask a simple question? I would’ve rather her just flat out tell me no they cant do it instead of not explaining anything.

I asked my midwife last week. She checked my cervix, which at 37 weeks was 3cm and 50%, and said that it was great conditions for induction and scheduled me for 39w1d. I was super nervous to ask about it but felt SO relieved after I did.

As of 2 weeks ago I’m suppose to be induced on Sunday, I’ll be 39 +3 days. I’m in the Bay Area and with everything constantly changing I’m not really assured it’s going to happen. I’m hoping to see her on Wednesday and will ask more, I’m ready to have this baby because all of this chaos is stressing me out.

I’m getting induced at 38w 5d. My BP has been borderline and it’s high now especially with everything happening. April 1st can’t get here soon enough. I forgot what she said about my cervix all I remember her saying is baby is very low.

I asked my doctor to. He said he would IF my cervix had ripened on it’s own (so it needs to be partially dilated). I go Thursday for my 37 week appointment where he will check.

I’m inducing on Friday if baby doesn’t come on it’s own before then. 39 weeks exactly. I am also extremely anxious about having a baby during this pandemic. I am worried but trying to keep the faith that my husband will be able to be in the delivery room with me when baby comes 🙏🏼

Usually 39 weeks (term) is cue for induction, along with already dilated & healthy pregnancy. My doctor was fine with it at today’s 36wk appt. I’m 1.5cm, 50% and healthy pregnancy so I know I’ll qualify when the time comes.
