How old was your baby when they started talking?
My daughter is 15 months old but the only thing she can actually say is “dada”. She will learn a new word like “bye” and even learned to say “outside” but will only say it for a day or two then never say it again. She listens to commands and knows what things are, like I’ll say “go to your high chair” and she listens, or “throw this in the trash” and she will throw it away but she will not say words 😒😒😒😒 I talked to her pediatrician when she turned 12 months old about it and he said if she didn’t have a better vocabulary by her next check up at 15 months then he would consider sending her to a speech specialist. Her appointment is in a few weeks but it will probably be canceled due to this coronavirus because a lot of the Drs in my area are only seeing patients who are sick or need medical attention, but I’m hoping since she’s getting shot they won’t cancel.
Idk if I’m overthinking it or what. I see other babies her age saying so many words. I need to stay off the internet because one site told me she has autism but she does not have any of the signs of autism!! She is an extremely happy, healthy, smart baby girl, she just won’t say words!! She babbles on and on and on but they aren’t actual words.
