Would you still breastfeed?

So this is a hypothetical question - if you tested positive for COVID-19 would it be best to continue breastfeeding your 3 month old baby? Or would it be best to isolate yourself and switch to formula while you are sick?

What I read is that it is best to continue to breastfeed with a mask on as you will pass antibodies to your baby and build their immunity. I can't rmember where i read this it was either CDC or my states dept. Of health website.

I think they said it can’t pass through best milk. Ask your midwife or health visitor

I talked to my doctor about this— she said absolutely keep breastfeeding, it will benefit the baby’s immune system. Another thing, you can have Covid and be spreading it for a few days or a couple of weeks before symptoms show up.. so by the time you start feeling it, your baby has already been exposed

I would probably pump to avoid close contact while still giving baby the antibodies.
