Hi everyone,

Most if not all of us have cancelled our showers if we had any planned and therefore may now find ourselves in need of essential baby items, especially if you are a FTM like me. I wanted to let you know that I reached out this morning to my community's Facebook buy nothing group and let them know that, because of the current situation, we had little for baby and we were looking for anything someone was willing to part with or didn't need anymore. All, I had 10 responses within 5 minutes! Here I am 3-4 hours later with 2 bags of baby clothes, blankets, and other goodies sitting on my porch, and I'm expecting more items in the next few days! I will give everything a wash and they'll be good to go. The generosity of others is so astounding and gives me hope during these tough times. So if you are like me and were relying on the baby shower for most of the essentials, definitely consider reaching out to your own community if you don't mind gently used items. More likely than not, someone will be willing and able to help. :)
