I am married so this is hypothetical, obviously... but honestly No... I wouldn’t. My father is a reasonable person and we are very similar. If he had a problem with my SO I would really take it to heart. I am not saying all people should require this, because every parent child relationship is different.. I just know my father and he wouldn’t object for no reason

my dad is extremely reasonable and i know he always has my best interest at heart. i don’t believe he would ever dislike a boyfriend without a good reason to, so i don’t think i could marry someone my dad didn’t like.
