So I just seen a post in another group and found out some hospitals in the US are restricting ALL visitors for women in labor and delivery, including their spouse, support person(s), doulas, etc., especially in areas with a significant rate of cases of the virus.

What are your thoughts on those who have to give birth alone due to this pandemic. Reasonable or unreasonable?

Personally, I understand taking every precaution possible to prevent the spread of COVID-19 but I think this completely unreasonable. I would understand limiting the visitors to ONE person, but I couldn’t imagine my husband not being allowed to be there for the birth of his child not to mention I couldn’t go through labor and delivery alone. I’d definitely be on board to get him tested, for him to wear a mask and gloves, hell even a damn biohazard suit but there’s no way I’d be comfortable with it and my heart goes out to anyone who’s facing this situation.
