Baby Shower & COVID-19

We were originally supposed to have our shower on May 23rd which is 2 months away; however, some models have shown this virus going way into the fall after little man in born.

Should we just plan for no shower? Would you still send out some sort of announcement with a registry for gifts and then have a “sip and see” sort of deal afterwards when he’s a few months old and it’s safer. Is that too nervy?

I’m not sure what is the right thing to do in this situation.
