Birthing ball: is it too soon to start?

I can’t find the information anywhere... I know it can help start labor, so I don’t want to start too early.

I was told any time after 32 weeks to help open your hips and help babies position, nothing to do with labour. I was told to sit and move my hips side to side, forward and backward, and in circles. It feels great on the hips! I have a friend who uses theirs now to bounce their 5 month old so I started to gently bounce on it to get the baby used to that motion and associate it with comforting for when baby is out!

The ball will not put you into labor. It just helps with babies position and can be a comfort during labor

It doesn’t put you into labour but encourages baby to get in the right position. I’ve been using one for weeks to help stretch hips, feels awesome. I’m 35 weeks.

I think it’s safe, they suggested that my friend start using hers when her baby was breach at 34 weeks . I have been using mine off and on, it helps my hips .

I did it at 37-38 weeks did nothing for me but I still waited til it was closer to my due date.

1st pregnancy I sat on a yoga ball and bounced since 27 week if not sooner and I had to be induced at 41+5 lol so did zero for me.

People use birthing balls all through pregnancy for exercises and stretches! I just ordered mine on amazon. I plan to start as soon as I get it!
