Is it too early to seek fertility treatment with only 7 months of TTC ?

Most doctors won’t refer you to a fertility specialist until you’ve been actively trying to conceive for at least a year. It won’t hurt to ask your doctor to see what they say though.

Normally they say to get help after 6 months if over 35 or 1 year if under 35. Have you tried to track ovulation using OPKs?

If you’re over 35 or close to 35 then you might be able to get a referral after 6 months ttc. There are a million tests to prepare for fertility treatments, so I feel like the sooner you start the better. With my first baby I started talking to a fertility specialist after 10 months, did all of the testing, then got pregnant naturally after 12 months. Most drs want you to be up to date on your annual physical exam, Pap smear every 3 years, mammogram (if over 35), full comprehensive blood tests, including stds like HIV, and to check your FSH, etc. Your OBgyn can also order an HSG and a sperm analysis. 
The only hesitation at this point would be the Covid-19 crisis which is restricting many drs from starting new fertility treatments, but I’m sure you can at least do the testing now so you’re ready to begin treatment after this crisis. I think drs are still allowed to prescribe Clomid or Letrozole for timed intercourse, but many aren’t allowed to do IUI right now or start new IVF cycles. If you’re very serious, I’d try to get in with your Obgyn ASAP for a Pap smear and a consultation, then get a referral to a fertility clinic. Once you have the referral you can set up a consultation appointment with your fertility clinic either in person or via Zoom to find out exactly what tests you need and what your options are. You can try and see if they take you.. we started with my obgyn at 10 months and took us a year to actually get pregnant we needed up going to a fertility doctor and after all the testing and all we got pregnant on our first iui

In the US, if your insurance covers it they wont do fertility treatments until 12 months of you trying if under the age of 35. If 35 and over they'll refer you to a specialist after 6 months. But you can get tests like progesterone or semen-analysis done without going to a specialist.

I got treatment after 2 losses and 8 months ttc. I’m 10 months ttc to conceive and he’s already done 30 blood tests and a diagnostic laparoscopy in the last 8 weeks. I’m starting meds in 2 weeks. He told me I was right to go in when I thought there may be a problem whenever that time may be.

You can ask but they’ll probably tell you it has to be a year of trying b4 they recommend anything. I had a mc in March 2018 and my dr told me to try again for a year and if nothing happened then she’d recommend an HSG test, sperm counts and fertility treatments.
