OK IM CRYING.
10 month Baby and I fell asleep together on the bed. We have her crib pushed up against the bed so when she falls asleep on our bed, there’s a “rail”. Well baby stood up while I was asleep and FELL FOWARD INTO HER CRIB. Crib is at its lowest setting down so it was a good fall down. I woke up to her screaming crying and I got up so fast and got her out of the crib and hugged her tight. She cried for a good minute.
She fell vertically so her head hit the rail on the fall down - back of her head was against the rail when I got her out.
Has this happened to anyone’s baby??
I feel guilty and like the worst mom ever.
Baby is acting normal, just ate, and is watching tv now.
Please help this stressed mom, I don’t know what to do and i would hate to take her to ER right now. with COVID19 going around, especially being a hotspot area.
UPDATE
Baby has small bruise on her forehead so she must have gone foward hit her forehead and then spun around and landed on the back of her head.
Freaking out even more. What if she hurt her spine or neck and becomes paralyzed all because i was too exhausted and fell asleep.
Any nurses or moms with similar stories??!
going crazy here
