Have any of you heard this yet? The Department of Human Health has amended their original statement (as of yesterday) about visitors to clarify that hospital must allow a birth partner to be there for the mother both during delivery and after, naming them as being essential!

For me this is a big relief. I do not live in NY, but I do live in Metro Detroit which has been hit hard, and I saw the writing on the wall. I hope this keeps the birth partners with mothers all over.
