We would like to use family names as our children’s names. Our first son’s name is Samual James (after SO’s late best friend and my dad). We are now expecting baby #2 and having a hard time picking out a name. We were going to go with Anthony Lewis (after SO’s grandfather and my grandfather) but I really don’t want Anthony as the first name anymore because of the bad association I have to that name now. I feel bad because I know SO really wanted to name one of his children after is grandfather.

Dale (SO grandfather middle name)

Luther (SO great uncle)

Daniel (my father middle name)

Oliver (my grandfather middle name)

Lewis (my grandfather)

I really like Dale as a first name, but can’t think of a middle name to go with it. We also like traditional names, so doesn’t necessarily have to be family names.
