Coffee for a 12 yr old girl.

I'll start off by saying I'm Puerto Rican. In Puerto Rico every gathering & place you went to or persons house you went to you were always offered coffee. I myself was raised since elementary school to start my day with a coffe with my breakfast. Yes it was my choice because ever since I first tried it I was in love. Now they say if you drink a lot of coffee as a child it stunts your growth, I kinda believe that because I'm only 5 foot tall LoL.

My question is, is it safe for a 12 year old girl to drink coffee daily? My daughter tried coffee while with her dad & grandma on dads side & she keeps asking me for coffee. I always told her when she gets older but I feel bad & don't want to keep saying no so I've been letting her drink some a couple times a week. Sorry if this story is so long LoL, so can I start giving her coffee regularly when she wants it?
