So while watching Youtube yesterday, I stumbled across a video about a gift basket idea to give to your husband. In the basket, there were the typical items (hat, shirt, food, etc) but there also was a small box of ammo. The husband was said to have enjoyed going to the range to shoot his guns. Many of the comments said about how gifting ammo is extremely inappropriate.

I’m from a farming family and I’m on my school competition smallbore rifle team. Personally I think ammo is an appropriate gift, as long as the receiver is a responsible gun owner.

Is buying ammo really inappropriate across the board or does it depend on the person?
