My husband and I found out about two and half weeks ago our 12 week old baby had abnormalities and that the pregnancy wasn’t viable. Yesterday (after a long fight with insurance over the last weeks because our baby had a heartbeat) I went in for a D&E and said goodbye to our 14 week old baby. My husband hasn’t said a lot, I think he is processing our loss in his own way. Unfortunately with COVID crisis, my husband wasn’t even able to be in the waiting room let alone my hospital room with me to provide the support we both deserved. We are devastated at our loss and are processing it in our own ways. I am thankful to all the hospital staff and doctors for helping us get through such a hard decision. I am hopeful after a biopsy and genetic counseling this was a fluke and we will have an opportunity in the future to have the baby we so very much want.
