Pieces of medium rare steak?
Am I stupid for letting my son have tiny pieces of medium rare steak? We were having dinner at a family members house and we had steak, corn, and potatoes. Some of my family members didn't see anything wrong with it, but my mother in law is deathly afraid of choking. I'm not really sure what she fed her kids by this age, im pretty sure freaking mush vegetarian diet is all her kids ate until 5 years old or something. But for months now we've been told by his pediatrician it's ok to feed him what we are eating.
My only concern was giving him pieces that were medium rare. I gave him tender pieces that were cooked to my comfort level and small enough that he most definitely would not choke on and wouldn't be too hard to digest. We're talking tinyyy. Like pea size, maybe a smidge bigger.
Idk, all the different opinions get so damn exhausting. I am CONSTANTLY second guessing my mom instincts and just feel like I suck sometimes. My mother in law just has so many opinions and beliefs and a lot of them I agree with but some I'm just like, wth. 😩 she's very subtle and respectful and does it in a kind way. She is smart and has a lot to offer. But if I was as cautious of a person as she is, I think I'd have a heart attack from the stress. She gets nervous over my son eating baby crackers. They're literally made to be eaten by 6 months and up and he's been eating them since 6 months. 😩
